In March 2021, the MaJa Pandemic Edition, an English-language special edition of the Young Academy's Magazine on post-pandemic world scenarios, was published.

When the COVID pandemic broke out, the Young Academy launched a contest on what life would be like after the pandemic. By then, Maja #6 (gender) had just been published and preparations were underway for Maja #7. The many good entries to the competition led the Young Academy to publish a special edition of the Maja, between #6 and #7, built around the competition entries. They give different perspectives, some preoccupied, others optimistic, in this MaJa Pandemic edition.
